Begin Again
Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we have to keep going back and beginning all over again.
Andre Gide
The site, Nemours KidsHealth , has a palatable overview about our ears and how they work . The outer ear, made up of the pinna (the part of the ear we see) and ear canal collect, the sounds. The middle ear contains the eardrum, or tympanic membrane, where sounds cause the thin membrane to move. (The Eustachian tube connects the middle ear to the back of the nose and helps the pressure in the ears to remain in balance.) The inner ear contains the cochlea which converts the middle ear’s vibrations into nerve signals passed to the brain via the auditory nerve. And, voila! We hear.
